A Daily Practice of tongue scraping

This ancient practice helps to stimulate the internal organs through energetic connections with the rest of the body, improve digestion by increasing your sense of taste, and cleanse the body by removing Ama (toxins) and bacteria from your oral cavity.

The practice involves scraping your tongue gently with a tool to clear toxins, bacteria and dead cells that build up overnight whilst you sleep, and also prevents them from being reabsorbed in the body. It's a simple daily cleansing practice, exactly like brushing your teeth.

Purchase a copper tongue scraper

First thing upon rising before drinking anything scrape tongue from back to front gently 5- 10 times (depending on level of ama, toxins) rinsing under warm water in between each scrape start to observe the state of your tongue each morning, is it coated white? It is cut or are there indentations? The tongue tells you about the state of your health.
